Lamar Odom Wants To Work On Marriage With Khloe

Lamar Odom has revealed he isn’t ready to give up on his marriage just yet.
Despite wife Khloé Kardashian having filed for divorce from the troubled basketball star three months ago, the 34-year-old has opened up about his hope for a future with the woman who stood by him
for so long.
‘I want to make it work with Khloé,’ Lamar tells the latest issues of In Touch magazine – on newsstands now.
Speaking from his New York City hotel, where he is receiving physical therapy for a back injury,
the star reveals he will soon be heading back to Los Angeles – and hopefully into the arms of his estranged wife.
‘I’m going to see Khloé. I’m going to see her soon,’ the hopeful-sounding NBA player shared of his plans.
Having briefly relocated to Spain, where he was playing for the Baskonia basketball team until an injury cut short his season, the athlete is now focused on getting his life in order.
‘I’m focusing on getting better,’ he tells the publication.
And it seems that part of getting back on track means not only making amends with his ex, but hopefully reuniting with her, too.
Despite warnings from concerned family and friends who don’t want to see her get hurt again, the 29-year-old is reported to be willing to give their relationship another chance.
‘He confessed his feelings and cried his heart out to her on the phone,’ an insider tells the magazine of the conversation that occurred in mid-March and turned everything on its head as far as Khloé’s concerned.
The source adds: ‘She’d been avoiding his texts and calls for weeks, but when she heard him pleading with her to take him back, she melted.’
Whether purely coincidental or not, Khloé took to Instagram on March 16 – the same day Lamar sat down with In Touch – to share a poignant message with fans.
The inspirational image posted to her account hinted that a reconciliation wasn’t completely out of the question despite the pair still having plenty of obstacles to overcome.
‘I declare that I will live as a healer,’ the message began. ‘I am sensitive to the needs of those around me. I will lift the fallen, restore the broken and encourage the discouraged.
‘I am full of compassion and kindness. I won’t just look for a miracle; I will become someone’s miracle by showing God’s love and mercy everywhere I go. This is my declaration.’

7 Killed in East Harlem Building Gas Explosion

The call to Consolidated Edison came at 9:13 a.m. on Wednesday: The smell of gas, detectable the night before, had strengthened around two buildings by 116th Street and Park Avenue in East Harlem. Less than 20 minutes later, the buildings were gone, leveled by a tremendous explosion whose tremors could be felt more than a mile away. The blast, which city officials said was touched off by a gas leak, killed at least seven people and wounded at least two dozen more. Rescue workers continued to search the rubble well into the night, hoping to find the nine occupants of the buildings who were still missing late Wednesday. The explosion blew out windows in surrounding buildings and sent debris crashing onto nearby streets. People were trapped in their cars, in the rubble and in neighboring apartments. Others rushed toward the towering plume of flames and smoke, making desperate rescue attempts. Russian Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin says ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich has sent a letter to Putin asking him to use military force in Ukraine to restore law and order.
"Under the influence of Western countries, there are open acts of terror and violence," Churkin quoted the letter from Yanukovich to Putin in the third emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

"People are being persecuted for language and political reasons," Churkin read. ”So in this regard I would call on the President of Russia, Mr. Putin, asking him to use the armed forces of the Russian Federation to establish legitimacy, peace, law and order, stability and defending the people of Ukraine."

The NYPD nabbed a pair of teen robbers Wednesday in the Fort Greene Park section of Brooklyn after they used a phone they stole from a man to take a selfie pic. Cops also suspect that the two have been responsible for a series of muggings in the area, and they now face several counts of robbery. DNAInfo reported on the arrest of 19-year-old Tyquan Solomon and 16-year-old Terrance Sistrunk of the Walt Whitman Houses in Brooklyn. According to the police report, Solomon and Sistrunk encountered a man in the early morning hours of February 2, and brandished a Black BB gun. The teens stole an iPhone and $205 in cash from the 22-year-old victim. Later that day, the victim used an iPhone cloud-based service and discovered several pictures of the robbers posing in selfie photos and holding a wad of cash. The NYPD were able to use the photos to identify the muggers, and then later arrested and charged them each with five counts of robbery.

The hotel room where Whitney Houston died will be getting a complete makeover to keep ghoulish gawkers from flocking to the scene of the tragedy.
As the second anniversary of the singer’s death approached, work­ers at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles scrambled to gut Room 434 from top to bottom. Whitney drowned in the room’s bathtub on Feb. 11, 2012. Autopsy results show the 48-year-old singer had been using drugs.
“Ever since her death, the hotel has been overwhelmed with peo­ple from all over the world hoping to book the ‘Whitney room,’ ” said a hotel insider. “They want to see where it happened, and people have started asking specifically to stay in Room 434.
“Management decided it was time to move on and focus on more positive aspects of life at the hotel.”
Things had gotten so out of control that some guests were even trying to re-enact the “I Will Always Love You” singer’s final hours.
“They partied like they think Whitney did with drugs and alco­hol and then they would go into the bathroom and lay down near the tub – naked, like Whitney was – and take pictures,” revealed the insider. “It’s morbid, sick and disgusting.”
Along with the room’s total decor overhaul, all the rooms on the floor will either be renumbered or given names like the “Autumn” or “Spring Flowers” Suite.
“The hotel is fed up with people coming in for the sole purpose of partying and taking pictures in the ‘Whitney Room,’ ” said the insider.
“They’ve stopped giving out that room until renovations are com­plete.
“If management has their way, the next person that gets that room won’t have a clue Whitney Houston died in the bathroom.”

Authorities never established the cause of the deaths in 2012. They are doing autopsies on the latest dolphins, found during January in the Lambayeque region on the northern coast.

  

Technician Jaime de la Cruz of Peru's IMARPE marine life agency said about 220 dead dolphins were found in the last week of January, the rest during the previous three weeks.
De la Cruz said autopsy results are expected in two weeks. Exams will focus on lungs, kidneys, and livers.
Autopsies of some of the more than 870 dolphins found in 2012 were inconclusive. Speculation ranged from biotoxins in the sea to seismic testing to an unknown ailment.
Yuri Hooker, director of the marine biology unit at Cayetano Heredia University, told The Associated Press that in other parts of the world dolphin deaths generally are caused by environmental contamination. Either the sea mammals eat fish and other smaller species filled with toxins or else they ingest discarded plastic floating in the sea.
The marine biologist said determining the death of dolphins is "complicated" in Peru because government laboratories have only three or four of the 100 or so chemical reagents that can be used to determine the animals' cause of death.

After only two Years, US Ambassador to Russia is Leaving.

Michael McFaul, the very straight forward, US ambassador to Russia who has on many occasions disagreed   with the Kremlin, announced Tuesday that he would be leaving the country after  only two years.

His announcement that he would also leave the US administration comes among new rise in tensions between Moscow and Washington over many  issues ranging from arms to human rights to pro-Western protests in Ukraine.

McFaul said he was leaving for family reasons.
