The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a magnitude-5.8 earthquake in the Babuyan Islands region off the northern tip of the Philippines.
The
U.S.G.S. said the earthquake struck at 12:36 a.m. Sunday (1636 GMT
Saturday). Its epicenter, with a depth of 15.8 miles
is about 317 miles north of Manila.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has not issued any warnings.
