Is today Twitter hack day and nobody said anything?
Two separate hack attacks today have targeted one the Web's largest blogs and one of its largest mini-bloggers, and one of these entities appears to be fighting back. But it's unclear just what Ashton Kutcher plans to do should he find the user that simultaneously broke into his Twitter and Foursquare accounts today.
"So apparently someone thinks they are clever hacking my account. #lame," wrote Kutcher in a Tweet earlier today, before deciding to become a mini-Sherlock by trying to root out the hacker himself.
"Ok mr hacker, you only made one mistake. You hacked my Foursquare and I now know your address. Whoops...This is gonna be fun," Kutcher wrote in a later Twitter message. A third post, "I'm coming for you my friend...," was accompanied with a picture that appears to be the hacker's last known location via a Foursquare check-in – an area between 120th and West El Segundo Boulevard in Hawthorne, California.
As Kutcher was going about his Internet manhunt – it's unclear whether the Twitter celebrity was actually planning to head out to the area to see what he can find, a highly doubtful situation – owners of The Huffington Post Twitter account were working to restore access following a separate morning attack.
