A Saudi female school teacher tried to commit a suicide by
throwing herself into a water well after learning her husband married
again but she was rescued.
The woman hit a metal pipe and fell unconscious inside the well near her house in the southern town of khamis Mushait.
“She was rescued by residents and rushed to hospital where she was resuscitated,” Sharq newspaper said.
It said the unnamed woman had tried before to kill herself by gas but was stopped by her son.
